Job description

Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6pm - 6am (after 6 weeks, rotates to Thursday, Friday, Saturday for a further 6 weeks)

Here at Selby we employ a team over 750 colleagues. A site steeped in history, we are the UK’s number one manufacturer of customer private label cooking sauces and pickles. We have been serving our customers out of our Selby site since 1914. We produce more than 160 million units per year across 600 different product lines for customers such as Morrisons, Tesco & Asda.

Pay rates (Over time is after 36 hours a week x1.25)

Night shift - £17.88 an hour 

What you'll be doing 

  • As part of the audit function ensure all production line checks are completed by trained operatives and correctly signed off, relating to all food safety and quality aspects
  • Fully flexible working across all line disciplines and areas (recipe, pickles etc) and able to rotate job function on all lines
  • Glass/hard plastic audits
  • GMP audits and enforcing of GMP standards
  • Conduct CCP and quality checks
  • Aid production with quality and food safety aspects
  • Label checks
  • Documentation audits
  • Aid during product trials and first production runs
  • Cover as part of a team of Quality Auditors all production areas on top of own work loads when members of the team are absent
  • Scheduled calibration of equipment
  • Correct use of all measuring equipment and instruments
  • All records to be legible and genuine
  • Train and mentor new members of the team if and when required

  • Good organiser
  • Ability to complete documentation legibly
  • Must be computer literate
  • Food factory experience
