Job description

Role Purpose:

 

To support the successful delivery of Making Business Easier (MBE) through the planning and management of effective communication and engagement across the core and extended programme team, development of agreed working practices, and regular review of activities and progress

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Create and manage appropriate onboarding collateral suitable for the core and extended programme team, and develop and manage the process for ensuring all new team members are effectively inducted onto the programme
  • Create and manage the comms and engagement approach plan for the core and extended programme team, ensuring effective use of a range of channels
  • Manage the planning and preparation for events for the core and extended programme team, ensuring relevant input from key stakeholders
  • Manage the process and planning for regular action learning reviews for the core and extended programme team, ensuring actions from these sessions are owned and managed appropriately
  • Equip Initiative Owners and project team members to effectively manage change through the development of core working practices guides
  • Work with the wider transformation team to signpost, coach and educate line managers in the many tools and resources available to help them effectively deliver change and manage projects through Line Manager Framework (LMF)
  • Identify potential risks, areas requiring escalation or obstacles that may derail change and communication plans and put in place mitigating actions or escalate as appropriate
  • Ensure the effectiveness of programme team communication and engagement is evaluated and plans are adapted based on feedback and insights

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Deep understanding about a wide range of engagement channels and their appropriate use 
  • Effective Project Management Office (PMO) and programme working practices 
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets 
  • Excellent attention to detail and passion for quality 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Teams) 
  • Proficient in the use of InDesign and video editing software (preferred) 
  • Proficient in the use of tools to build surveys and analyse results 
  • Development of how to guides for effective working practices 
  • Event planning and management 
  • Facilitation of small group workshops 
  • Development of communication and engagement collateral to support a variety of interventions
