Role: Marketing Executive - M&S implant
Location: M&S Head Office, Paddington, London (with occasional monthly travel to Greencore sites in Northampton and Leeds)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Marketing Executive to join the Greencore team in a unique embedded role within Marks & Spencer. Working at the heart of the M&S Food business, you’ll play a key part in shaping and supporting marketing campaigns across our Food On The Move and Café ranges, two dynamic categories that are essential to our customers daily routines.
Role Purpose
This isn’t just any role. This is an M&S Marketing Executive role.
Working in close partnership with both Greencore’s M&S team and the M&S Category and Marketing teams, you’ll help ensure marketing activations are insight-led, well-executed, and reviewed with impact in mind. From briefing through to post-launch evaluation, you’ll be a key contributor to bringing our food stories to life for millions of customers.
Key Greencore responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the M&S Category Marketing teams to develop and coordinate best-in-class activation plans across M&S and Greencore stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain the joint Greencore–M&S rolling activation calendar, working closely with the Category Managers.
- Support the Category Lead to ensure the joint marketing activation fund is invested effectively to maximise return on investment (ROI).
- Lead internal communication of Greencore–M&S launches and activations, working with the Greencore Internal Comms team.
- Own and manage the Greencore–M&S presentation template, ensuring all marketing photography is up-to-date and used consistently across cross-functional teams.
- Lead the creation and delivery of campaign Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs) to the Greencore–M&S cross-functional team.
- Contribute to Greencore’s seasonal market reviews by highlighting key marketing activity, successes, and learnings.
- Conduct occasional competitive intelligence store visits and share relevant insights with both Greencore and M&S teams.
Key M&S responsibilities include:
- Support the delivery of M&S Convenience Marketing across the year. You will work with the Convenience Marketing Manager to create and execute campaigns which ladder up to strategic business priorities and land right first time with impact.
- Ensure all marketing communications are creatively distinctive, aligned with our Convenience and wider business plans, clear for customers and simple for colleagues.
- Work with cross-channel and commercial teams, as well as partners, to ensure we deliver cohesive marketing campaigns where all stakeholders are kept up to date.
- Lead on the creation, implementation and management of all digital assets across our store estate and partners.
- Support the Marketing Manager with growing the bp partnership, managing marketing asset requests and delivering marketing collateral for their stores.
- Work with the commercial team to create and deliver in-store marketing materials for local events.
- Lead on growing the presence of store social media accounts across our partner stores and ongoing management.
- Work with the other Assistant Marketing Managers to support on delivering monthly marketing communications to our stores and ad-hoc marketing queries from the retail team.
- Manage the budget for your projects ensuring we come in on time and budget.
- Support the commercial rhythm, acting with pace to respond to market conditions.
- Build strong relationships across commercial, wider marketing and wider convenience teams, acting as a key contact for the convenience marketing function.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Previous marketing experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and team-focused mindset.
- Keen eye for detail and sense of creativity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Confident presenter with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders.
- Commercially minded.
- Be able to display agility and resilience.
- Full UK driving licence.
