Here in Boston we employ around 400 colleagues and produce ready to eat salads, prepared vegetables and snacks for many of the major retailers such as Coop, Boots, Greggs, Costco, Spar and BOL.

What you'll be doing:

Line Leader - Nights - Tuesday-Saturday 18:00-02:00 at £13.68 per hour.

As a Line Leader, you will be responsible for the running of the production line.

• Complete and communicate staff deployment
• Capability of running 1 line
• Complete handover documentation as needed
• Fire registers for area on a daily basis
• Able (if needed) to co-ordinate rota and time and attendance system
• Completion and review of all daily paperwork as required by procedures
• Ensure all cleaning is done as required
• Ensure enough product and packaging is available throughout the day
• Understand and promote production KPI and target effectiveness
• Confirm completion of paperwork by machine operator and accuracy of aspects such as checkweighers
• Co-ordinate label sign off process and return label process
• Manage a team of staff to ensure the line is set up as required
• Supervise and train agency workers
• Ensure job information is reported accurately on prophet
• Communication with other departments as needed to ensure effective running of area inc. of engineering, quality, technical, warehouse
• Ensure all staff comply with PPE requirements at all time

What we’re looking for:

Applicants must have a good level of education verbal, written and numerical. Experience of the food manufacturing industry is essential, preferably salads and be flexible in their approach to shifts etc. At time the successful candidate may be required to move shifts/department to meet the needs of the business.
