We supply all the UK’s food retailers with everything from Sandwiches, soups and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals, and in FY23, we generated revenues of £1.9bn.  Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.

 

Tamworth:

A major picking depot, employing more than 130 colleagues and operating a fleet of more than 60 vehicles. The depot serves major convenience retailers in the region.

 

What you'll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed. We have an exciting opportunity for a Van Loader Team Leader to join our team. As a Loader Team Leader you will be responsible for but not limited to:

*        Loading van routes and ensuring timely route departure

*        Reporting to the transport manager and managing a small team

*        Van driving as and when needed, going out on necessary routes such as for overspill, servicing and other emergency route runs

*        KPIs and reporting

*        Pallet and tray auditing

*        High standard of hygiene and Health and Safety practices

 
 

Role Details:

  • Shift Time: 6am to 6pm
  • Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour. (Plus £1.15 for hours worked between 10pm and 6am, and + £1.15 for weekend work)
  • Overtime: Premiums are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

 

What we’re looking for:

*        Have credible experience of working in a transport and/or warehouse operation

*        Must have a full UK driving license

*        Must be comfortable with physical work

*        Good attention to detail and demonstrable self-discipline to manage your work tasks with minimum supervision, whilst being held duty accountable

*        FLT License preferred but not essential
