What you'll be doing

We are looking for our next Talent Manager to join our award-winning Talent, Development & Inclusion team. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our workforce. You will lead our efforts in talent and career management, ensuring that we attract, develop, and retain top talent. Your expertise will inform our annual talent review processes. You will oversee our established performance and career cycle, our investment in development centres and our early careers, apprenticeships and skills offer. You’ll directly manage our annual talent action plans, our education programmes for high potential leaders and our inhouse coaching and mentoring programme. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an experienced and skilled team.

 

Key accountabilities include

 

  • Managing Talent Review: Overseeing, supporting and facilitating our annual talent review process, ensuring we identify emerging talent and build succession strength
  • Talent Management: Develop and execute strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent across our organisation
  • Performance & Career Management: Facilitate our performance management approach to enable colleague engagement, growth and productivity
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Develop our established Coaching and Mentoring programme, enabling our coaches to add value to the organisation and colleagues
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a high-performing team, fostering a caring, collaborative, inclusive and innovative work environment
  • Early Careers: Enable our early careers programmes to attract, retain, and accelerate growth of new and diverse talent
  • Apprenticeships: Oversee our investment in skills and education to underpin our organisational talent priorities

 

What we're looking for

  • We are looking for an experienced Talent Lead, with proven experience managing a group wide annual talent review cycle, succession planning and performance and career process across a large complex organisation.
  • You’ll be of graduate calibre and CIPD qualified (MCIPD/FCIPD), experienced and confident working with senior leaders, and skilled at building credibility in an FMCG or private label business.
  • You’ll have demonstrable consulting skills, able to uncover the root causes, use data and insight to make decisions and fully able identify needs before proposing the options/solutions.
  • You’ll have a strong track record of leading and managing successful and skilled teams, with excellent communication, coaching, mentoring and interpersonal skills. You’ll be able to work flexibly and manage multiple priorities effectively.
