We supply all the major supermarkets in the UK. We also supply convenience and travel retail outlets, discounters, coffee shops, foodservice, and other retailers. We have strong market positions in a range of categories including sandwiches, salads, sushi, chilled snacking, chilled ready meals, chilled soups and sauces, chilled quiche, ambient sauces and pickles, and frozen Yorkshire Puddings.

We are pleased to offer an interim opportunity, lasting 9-12 months, for a Senior Account Manager to lead our Co-op business.

 

Role Purpose

 

You will be responsible for nurturing and developing the trading partnership between Greencore and Co-op to deliver sustained profitable growth.

 

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Work with marketing and portfolio teams to create customer account plans which deliver the overall Greencore customer strategy, in the specified accounts
  • n line with agreed account plans; establish, develop and maintain close-working, long term relationships with key customers, building market and competitor knowledge to identify and proactively satisfy customer requirements
  • Proactively challenge ways of working to help develop and drive positive change throughout the business and within customer partnerships
  • Mobilise and co-ordinate marketing and portfolio colleagues to implement customer-specific account plans which maximise sales value and profitability through joint business planning and customer negotiations
  • Generate accurate demand forecasts to be used by supply chain to deliver availability targets and ensure that financial forecasts are robust and balance both risks and opportunities
  • Identify and act on potential new business opportunities

What we’re looking for

  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Has experience and knowledge of the convenience food market
  • Has experience of account management in a similar size and structured environment
  • Has experience leading diverse teams, a skilled people leader
