Greencore Crosby specialises in producing sushi for a variety of major retailers and convenience stores. We are looking for an engaged maintenance engineering apprentice to develop and grow a career with Greencore.  You will provide engineering support to our many sites while developing your skills.

What you'll be doing

You’ll complete the 48-month Level 3 Engineer Apprenticeship, through a combination of face-to-face learning and on the job training, culminating in an Eng Point Assessment.  At the end of the programme, you will be supported to transition into a role that is aligned to your future career goals. 

This course aims to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills required for a career in engineering.  Key topics include:

• Health and Safety
• Hand fitting techniques
• Communication software
• Process control
• Inspection and testing
• Interpreting technical engineering drawings

• Highly motivated to grow your career, studying alongside doing a demanding day job
• Curious, organised and able to use your excellent communication skills to build effective relationships with a range of people
• Confident, take pride in your work with integrity and good time-management skills
• Pragmatic, with excellent practical skills and problem-solving ability
• Driven, with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Requirements

To join the apprenticeship, you will need:

• GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and in English (or equivalent)
• Have been employed by Greencore for a minimum of 6 months at the start of the programme
• The right to live and work in the UK

Please note; our operation is 24/7 so you will be required to work shifts, rotating night shifts and weekends.
