Job description
Role Purpose:
Responsible for delivering accurate and high-quality Group performance reporting information, collaborating with a broad range of senior internal and external stakeholders to deliver insight, shape performance and support decision-making
Key Accountabilities:
Lead the process for budgets, forecasts (including setting timetable and assumptions) and supporting business strategy and targets to contribute to appropriate planning and results
Work with the Finance leadership team to ensure appropriate forward-looking financial information is available and is driving the business forward.
Deliver support to the Finance leadership team and investor relations, including financial insight and advice, in advance of public announcements and investor briefings
Regular ad-hoc project activity for example, support the assessment of banking covenants and modelling for critical updates for the Board including going concern and viability statement
Consider the tools that could be used to make FP&A reporting more efficient and accurate (MBE).
Support the achievement of our sustainability plan through leading with a sustainability mindset
Incorporating financial modelling of sustainability related initiatives into budgets and forecasts
Provide leadership and direction ensuring team members are engaged, focused, developed and delivering their potential
Support the achievement of our inclusion and diversity aspirations through role modelling and personally leading and hiring inclusively, embracing and encouraging diversity
Implement and ensure compliance with our data management and governance policies, procedures and/or guidance governance approaches so that associated risks are mitigated and managed
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Significant post qualified experience in Group FP&A gained in fast paced, customer focused organisations
- Demonstrable experience in a Financial Planning role in large company with board-level stakeholders
- Ability to influence and build senior-level relationships across a matrix structure
- Professional accountancy qualification with at least five years post-qualified experience
- Exposure to investor relations and able to articulate group performance to enable effective communication with shareholders and analysts as well as internal customers
- Exceptional communication skills to interface with a wide variety of audiences across the Group including people with non- finance background
- Experience in managing and developing teams
