Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,500 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.

 

This is a dynamic and innovative field, which brings many commercial challenges relating to market trends, product launches, maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

 

We’re looking for motivated undergraduates who are completing either a food related or business degree and have a keen ambition to gain experience within the commercial environment of a fast-moving consumer good business. This is a 12-month placement aimed at those who elect to complete a ‘year-in-industry’ as part of their degree, with the potential to return to Greencore once you have completed your undergraduate degree.

What you'll be doing

The Greencore Account Executive placement is designed to help you gain valuable experience that supports your future career ambitions in the food industry.

 

During this placement as an Account Executive, support our National Account Managers in the day-to-day management of our customers. You will play a pivotal part in our relationship with our valued customers and will work collaboratively with other teams in the business to improve our service. This will include:

  • Manage all day-to-day customer requirements to include research on the shopper journey, product sampling and benchmarking sessions
  • Identify key insights on our product range and actions internally with the category and NPD teams and with the customer
  • As directed by the National Account Manager, you will be involved in the promotional process of our products and activity
  • Provides category analysis to support the customer innovation and category process
  • Validation and checking of sets of data to ensure business information is aligned (e.g. – Sales forecast)
  • Own and deliver a schedule of reporting to capture all business requirements
  • Maintain database of knowledge and data relating to our customer

At the end of the placement, you will have gained valuable on the job experience while also gaining knowledge of a commercial environment within the food industry.

  • The right to live and work in the UK.
  • Currently studying

Whilst this role is based in Sheffield, to take full advantage of this opportunity, you will be required to travel to other sites when necessary, and therefore a full driving license is preferred.

Our first stage virtual assessment will take place between Tuesday 8th – Wednesday 9th April 2025.

 

The second stage, face to face assessment will take place at one of our Greencore sites, between Wednesday 23rd April and Thursday 24th April 2025.

 

You will join Greencore in June 2025 and attend an induction week at the end of August 2025.
